Biography
Coach Michael Frawley established the New England Quarterback Academy in 2003, drawing from years of experience as a former high school and collegiate quarterback. A dedicated coach and mentor, Michael now trains over 200 athletes annually across New England, helping young quarterbacks and wide receivers elevate their game with a focus on skill development, mental toughness, and football IQ.
Michael’s football journey began at Matignon High School in Cambridge, MA, and later at Bentley University in Waltham, MA. As a backup to an All-American quarterback in college, as a sophomore, he took on the unconventional challenge of transitioning to free safety. This bold move secured him more playing time and gave him invaluable insight into both sides of the ball. This dual perspective enriches his coaching approach today.
After college, Michael was recruited by Cambridge, MA, to work specifically with their quarterbacks. His success in this role inspired him to expand his coaching reach, offering specialized training for quarterbacks and wide receivers in private sessions, small groups, and clinics. Over two decades later, the New England Quarterback Academy continues to grow, a testament to the impact and effectiveness of his training philosophy.
Beyond running the Academy, Michael collaborates with other renowned football organizations to coach and consult for quarterbacks and wide receivers. His affiliations include Mass Elite Football, New England Elite Football Clinics, Complete QB, QBR Football Camp (Ewing, NJ), Northeast Football Clinic, and First Down Training.
At the core of the New England Quarterback Academy is a commitment to developing fundamentally sound and adaptable athletes who are prepared to excel in any offensive system. Michael and his team emphasize the value of "perfect practice"—a belief that meticulous attention to proven techniques leads to true mastery. This focus on disciplined, refined training empowers players to become skilled athletes and leaders on and off the field.
